The museum collections are increased
The State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan received the archive of the conductor, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan USSR, laureate of the USSR and Azerbaijan State Prizes Nazim Asadulla oglu Rzayev (1925 - 2006). Nazim Rzayev was the artistic director and chief conductor of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev for many years. He was one of the most active propagandists of the works of Azerbaijani composers, an excellent interpreter of the works of Russian and Western European classics.
Among the materials of the archive: posters, programs, booklets, photographs, letters, music manuscripts (transpositions for chamber orchestra), published notes with dedicatory inscriptions of Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Akshin Alizade, gramophone records, diplomas, certificate of honour, greeting cards, letters, telegrams , as well as personal belongings (conductor's baton, boxed pen).
The archive was kindly provided to the museum by the conductor's daughter-in-law, the famous musicologist Maura Shakhbazbekova.
